The focus of this seminar is coverage of the major events and people in our nation's history. Each group will be responsible for creating a study guide and visual aid on their assigned historical period. The groups will also present a one-day lesson to the class which highlights an important concept or event from that historical period.
 

•  American Memory Home Page Library of Congress Site; excellent source of pictures.
•  The History Channel Site   As seen on TV (if you have a dish!)
•  The History Net    A GREAT site!!
•  The History Place   Nice articles but limited in scope.
•  From Revolution to Reconstruction   A "hypertext book" - lots of biographies, essays, and outlines!
•  The History Guide   Aimed at helping students understand how to use history in the classroom. We have looked at this during our discussion of why we study history.
•  The Time Page   A site which discusses "cycles" in our nation's history. May not be useful to all groups.
•  Historical Text Site   This site links to an FTP site which will allow you to download documents. It may be a bit too "high brow" for most of you!
•  H-Net - Humanities & Social Sciences on-line  Another "high brow" site, but it does contain an excellent link for the American Revolution!
•  Cultural Maps   You want maps? This is a nice site with links to others as well!
•  Links to more!   A comprehensive list of links to even more sites. Unfortunately, it contains an annoying Tripod console... but what the heck!
